Photography became a visual form of self-expression that I began to explore back in 2008. I experimented with a second hand Nikon FM2 film camera I purchased from eBay and spent hours experimenting with various types of colour and back and white film, various techniques, as well as engaging in different photographic communities online. I grew more passionate about the world of photography. I spent more and more time dreaming about lenses, hues, image aesthetics and shooting than I did doing anything else, until eventually I enrolled in a part time evening course at my local college in summer of 2011. It was during this course when I realised that I could not imagine spending my days doing anything else but photography – it was around this time that this blog was born.
Eight years on, I am now a Portrait, Lifestyle and Film Photographer. For me, photography is not only the best form of self expression and self-healing but also the best job in the world.
