“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them” – Albert Einstein
January is always a time of change and renewed vision and approach. After many life-changing events during 2013, I thought the start of 2014 would redefine my relationship with food, kick starting my recovery from anorexia, regaining some balance, making me more ready to embrace the life and opportunities that the next 12 months had in store.
January had been a varied month in terms of wins and losses. I’ve missed and turned down opportunities due to the subjection and my unwillingness (inability?) to fight my eating disorder. Though, on the other hand, I’ve enjoyed, embraced, and grown – meeting new friends, discovering new places, decorating, finishing and creating a bedroom in which I adore and only dreamed about months ago, and of course, I’ve come into contact with some things (and some people) through my journey as a photographer that not only have moved me, but have built upon the person I am, and the person I am learning to be.
So I guess, January has been a month of profound discovery and exploration (within myself), and if anything, it has made me realise what I’m aiming to achieve during the coming weeks of February.
♥ Finish decorating the studio.
♥ Continue broadening my creative learning -> this includes starting an evening course at college 2x a week in Film Production.
♥ Aim to get my Collecting Light website live (this is something I’ve been working on since last year – more on this soon!)
♥ Continue to up my game in terms of Eating Disorder recovery, finding balance and equilibrium in food, and within myself.
What do you hope to achieve during this coming month?
